Les portails, radios et TV

L'engagement des rappeurs palestiniens sur le web et le comportement collaboratif du milieu a donné de l'importance à des plateformes où eux-mêmes ou des fans ont compilé et diffusé leurs morceaux depuis 2006 tels "|| Pal Rap || :: الـ راب الفلسطيني" (http://www.palrap.net/)ou "MMDRap" (http://www.mmdrap.com/), chacun ayant également développé sa présence sur Facebook, YouTube et MySpace. En 2012, 2 radios Facebook ont vu le jour, la "HIP HOP Gazawy Radio" liveet la "راديو غــزة راب Redio Gaza Rap". Radio de musique non stop non spécialisée, "Gaza FM 100.9 Non stop music - راديو غزة اف ام" (http://www.gazafm.net/index.html)se doit également d'être mentionnée pour sa diffusion périodique de rap gazaoui. Le "Project Hip Hop Palestine" (http://www.myspace.com/hiphopfnet) et sa "hip-hop Falasteen TV" (http://www.youtube.com/user/hiphopfnet), enfin, ignoraient encore début 2012 le rap de Gaza.

Rappers Arab

Le premier portail dédié au rap palestinien ouvert sur le net semble être Rappers Arab (http://rappersarab.com) créé début octobre 2006 à l'initiative des Palestiniens d'Israël 'Umar al-Nabârî (عمر نـباري) de Bîr al-Sabi' et 'Umar 'Umar (عمر عمر) de Chafâ 'Amr. Il disparaît vers le mois de juillet 2006. Plusieurs groupes de Gaza y sont accueillis à côté de groupes de Cisjordanie, de DAM et d'autres groupes arabes.

تـم تصميم الموقع لرفع صوت الراب العربي ودخوله لكل بيت ولدعم الرابيرز العرب في فلسطين وقد تم إضافة عدد كبير من الأغاني والصور للرابيرز كما نعمل على التجديد المتكرر كل يوم في كل من مقالات صور إخبار وأغاني جديدة, من كلمات ومعاني لفك الحصار الصهيوني بكلمات سياسية اجتماعية دينية واقتصادية, وقد تصميم الموقع من قبل:

عمر عمر من شفاعمرو .
كما يمكنك إرسال أي أغنية لك أو لأي رابير من فلسطين المحتلة والمنطقة ....

PalRap

Le deuxième portail de rap palestinien apparaît dans la foulée de Rappers Arab. "|| Pal Rap || :: الـ راب الفلسطيني", qui devient ensuite "PalRap.net - The Palestinian Hip Hop / Rap Official Network" (http://www.palrap.net/), est inauguré en novembre 2006 depuis Ramallah. Il a été créé à l'initiative d'Ibrahim Bassa alias DonBassa de G-Town, le groupe rap du camp de Chu'afât près de Jérusalem. Le site disparaît en 2011 après avoir été réduit à un simple forum ("الشبكة الرسمية للراب و الهيب هوب الفلسطيني"). En 2008, le portail entre sur MySpace avec un compte "Palrap.net | شبكة الراب و الهيب هوب الفلسطيني" (http://www.myspace.com/palrapnet), disparu en 2009. En 2012, enfin, il est présent sur YouTube avec une chaîne "The Palestinian HipHop / Rap Official Network" (http://www.youtube.com/user/palrapnet/) créée en 2008 [le compte a été unilatéralement clôturé par Youtube] et sur Facebook avec une page créée début 2011, "PalRap.net - The Palestinian HipHop/Rap Network" (http://www.facebook.com/Palrapnet), laquelle n'est plus accessible en 2018. A cette date, un compte fonctionne encore sur last.fm (https://www.last.fm/music/www.palrap.net).

MMDRap

Le troisième portail ouvert au rap de Gaza a été créé depuis Abu Dhabi en mars 2007 (mais il est administré par Râmî Mansûr de Jénine selon Janne Louise Andersen). MMDrap ("Project code name Phoenix : Built on top of open source tools for artists in the middle east to reach their audience with ease.") ("مكتبة أغاني الراب العربي مصنفة حسب البلد والرابر") (http://mmdrap.com) [le site a cessé d'exister en 2011 et n'a malheureusement pas été archivé par la Wayback machine] accueille un grand nombre d'artistes dont certains groupes et rappeurs signalés dans cette étude. En juillet 2007, il entre sur MySpace avec un compte "MMDrap.com" (http://www.myspace.com/arabrappersnet) actif jusqu'en octobre 2010. Fin 2010, "MDrap" (http://www.facebook.com/Arabrappers) ouvre son compte Facebook, à l'initiative de Krist Nir Mmd (Al Zou'bi) (http://www.facebook.com/Kristnir) basé à Amman, de Rami GB (http://www.facebook.com/ramigb) basé à Ramallah, et d'Ahmed Alzaghoul (Ahmed Jay) (http://www.facebook.com/Ahmed.alzaghoul) (أحمد الزغول dit Ahmed Jay) basé à Birmingham. En janvier 2011, enfin, il inaugurait sa chaîne YouTube "MMDRap" (http://www.youtube.com/mmdrap) ("MMDrap.com is the #1 Arabic Hip Hop site in the world due to the huge community support and the advanced technology used within the site itself, subscribe and become one of the supporting community members today"). L'internaute pourra également être tenu informé via son compte Twitter "MMDrap" (@MMDrap) créé en mai 2009.

Créée en janvier 2012 par un membre de Peace Teamqui passera ensuite à 970 Palestinian Hip Hop Movement, Beesh M. 'Azîz al-Saqqâ, passé par Soldiers Band, Black Storm, Stop Bandet Black Soul, et Husâm Ghandûr de Gaza Boysen sont les initiateurs. Ces comptes ne fonctionnent plus en 2018. Créée anonymement en janvier 2012, une page Facebook "Palestine Rap !! راب فلسطين" (http://www.facebook.com/PalestineRap) semble échouer à se constituer son public avec seulement 137 mentions "j'aime" en novembre de la même année. Elle présente néanmoins l'intérêt d'offrir une certaine actualité du rap gazaoui dont les paroles de quelques morceaux. Créée en septembre 2012 également de façon anonyme, une page Facebook intitulée Le rap de Gaza, "الراب الغزاوي" (https://www.facebook.com/AlrabAlghzawy) se donne pour mission de "diffuser auprès du plus grand nombre les chansons et vidéos des artistes rap de Gaza" (صفحه راب غزاوي تهدف الى نشر أغانى وفيديوهات فنانين الراب فى غزة لكى يصل كل ما يعبرون عنه لأكبر عدد ممكن). Ses publications sont rares et son audience est limitée. Le compte n'existe plus en 2018.

Project Hip Hop Palestine

Afin d'être complet, le "Project Hip Hop Palestine" (http://www.myspace.com/hiphopfnet) se doit d'être signalé. Créé en juin 2008 à l'initiative de la Sabreen Association for Artistic Development (http://www.sabreen.org/) de Ramallah, il n'a, cependant, jamais accueilli aucun groupe de Gaza et n'existe plus en 2018. En lien avec le site web, la "hip-hop Falasteen TV" (http://www.youtube.com/user/hiphopfnet), créée en février 2009 par le groupe de Ramallah G-Town[qui a sa propre TV ".... Getto.Muzik.TV.... Corner Prophets/Hip Hop Sulha

Autre site dépourvu de groupes gazaouis mais riche d'informations au carrefour des rappeurs israéliens et palestiniens, Corner Prophets (http://cornerprophets.com/) a été fondé début 2006 par Dan Sieradski alias Mobius. Ses billets (son plus récent remonte à août 2016), consacrés en priorité aux groupes israéliens, tiennent informés des diverses manifestations auxquelles participent des rappeurs de Cisjordanie. Mobius a également participé à la création de la Hip Hop Sulha (http://hiphopsulha.com/ et http://www.facebook.com/pages/hip-hop-Sulha/273780372637700) (malheureusement ignorés de la Wayback machine) qui, à travers l'organisation de concerts, "reinvents the concept of the traditional Arab sulha (reconciliation) by bringing leading Jewish and Muslim hip-hop musicians together to celebrate peace and religious tolerance via the performing arts."

Corner Prophets is a cultural initiative which intends to inject hip hop related arts and events into the Jerusalem cultural scene, drawing the diverse cultural communities of Jerusalem together around a common interest in hip hop music, and providing an outlet and venue for the engagement of the city’s youth in the peforming arts.

Our goal is to inspire a new generation of Israelis & Palestinians to use art and music as a way of interacting with one another as a means of finding understanding and common ground between them. At our events, you can find Jews, Muslims, Christians, Israelis, Palestinians, Russians, Ethiopians and Americans, of secular and religious heritage alike. Welcome to Revolutionary Arab Rap! This blog aims to explore what Arabic hip hop can tell us about the current Arab uprisings and the changing relationship between Arab citizens and their governments. My objectives are:

1. To help new audiences enjoy, understand, and celebrate Arabic hip hop.
2. To help people improve their Arabic and find resources for studying the language.
3. To provide a useful resource for people interested in good journalism, social media, and academic work on the Middle East.

What I call "my blog" is actually two blogs:
1. Revolutionary Arab Rap (my main site). My posts about the key players, themes, contexts, and local scenes in the Arabic hip hop game go here.
2. Revolutionary Arab Rap: The Index (a companion site). In each post here, I provide a song's Arabic lyrics and their English translation in a Universal Subtitles video (above the jump) and in a full written text (below the jump).

I have posted the Arabic lyrics and English translation for about 30 songs (please take a look at them here). My El Général post is up and I have posts coming on Ibn Thabit, January 25, the Arabic music industry, and women in Arabic hip hop, among other topics, so stay tuned. I'm not a native speaker, so I welcome your corrections and help with my translations and my Arabic lyrics. And much like "re-tweets do not equal endorsements" on Twitter, translating a song here does not necessarily mean I endorse its content or message.

So why should you care about Arabic hip hop? Well, for starters, hip hop has become a universal medium of social and political expression for young, dissident, and marginalized peoples. It's helping the people of Arab world, most of whom are younger than 30, find new ways to raise their voices. It's important, though, not to overstate the influence of Arabic hip hop on the Arab uprisings. Arabic-langauge hip hop is an underground phenomenon, not a mainstream one like Al Jazeera is. Outside of Morocco, there's really isn't a hip hop "industry" to speak of in the Arab world. Arabic-language rap artists must promote their work online or sign with Western record labels. Despite all this, the genre's popularity and influence are growing remarkably fast. Rappers in Libya and Tunisia have shaken the most nightmarish of regimes to their cores. Arab hip hop is blowing up because it speaks so powerfully to Arabs' desire for dignity, human rights, and a brighter future.

“Power to the People” and “Fight the Power,” proclaimed Chuck D of Public Enemy in 1990.

Twenty years later, we are witnessing People Power fighting the Powers that be, throughout the Arab World. There is no direct link here, but it’s hard to dismiss that music plays a significant role in mobilizing the masses during times of political change — in Iraqi-British MC Lowkey’s words, “oiling the wheels of the struggle.”

The courage to stand up against a ruthless military isn’t created overnight. And Arab hip hop artists in particular, whether in the Middle East or among the Arab Diaspora, have been visibly active in supporting popular efforts to overthrow repressive regimes, even before the Arab Spring became a catchphrase.

Arab hip hop emerged around 10 years ago, and there is no sign that the scene is going to implode any time soon, nor that it will become hyper-commercial, as has been the case in the West, for the most part.

In fact, Chuck D himself has turned attention to the scene and last year signed Palestinian-British rapper Shadia Mansour to his label Slam Jamz.

This site explores the political Arab hip hop scene 10 years in the making, especially the ways in which it manifests cultural resistance against repressive power.

Nowhere is this more evident than among Palestinian hip hop artists, whose lyrics uniformly call for ‘hurriyah’ — freedom — from the Israeli Occupation.

Furthermore, the Palestinian hip hop scene, probably the world’s most geographically fragmented scene, serves as a great example of how 21st-century, globalized youth are able to connect across borders that physically separate them, and create a cross-border subculture based on hip hop.

The main article on this site is based on material gathered on a recent trip to Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, where I interviewed first-, second- and third-generation hip hop artists, talking about the power of music in processes of political change, the role of online media for music dissemination and cultural identity in a time of political upheaval.

Only a fraction of the material that I collected during this trip and previously is presented here, and I hope that this website will serve as the starting point for a long and deep exploration into the possibilities and challenges facing hip hop artists of the New Arab World, and the power of the movements that they constitute.

It was while living in the Palestinian West Bank studying Arabic that my passion for opinionated music and arts developed. Following the success of DAM, Saz, We7 and other Palestinian hip hop artists living inside Israel, Palestinian hip hop artists mushroomed up across the Occupied Territories and everywhere else filling a vakuum for a generation who had new perspectives on society but nowhere to take them. The microphone became their amplifier and the concerts their assembly halls.

I spent two years in a project at Sabreen Association promoting Palestinian hip hop, supporting the artists with music production, and connecting the segregated scene of musicians in the West Bank, Gaza, inside Israel, and in the Diaspora.

I have since then writing about this experience in the anthology Palestinian Music and Song - Expression and Resistance since 1900, which was released on Indiana Press in May 2013.

Seeing creativity, passion and artistic talent merge with the desire to change society inspired me profoundly.
Since then curiosity and a fascination with cultural events and artists who push for political or social change has become the main GPS in my life and its taken me through a bachelor’s degree in anthropology in Denmark, a master’s degree in multimedia journalism in New York, and on extended travels in the Middle East, East Africa and elsewhere – primarily profiling artists making a difference.

Today I work as a multimedia journalist freelancing for American, Danish and Arab media contributing to Rolling Stone Middle East and Al Monitor,  The National and various Danish media such as Weekendavisen, Opinionen, Politiken,  Gaffa (see my portfolio.)

My experience in print and digital journalism began when I lived in Copenhagen and edited the Danish section of  Akhbar al-Danmark, a bilingual Arabic-Danish newspaper published by The Arabic Media House in Denmark.

Our extensive coverage of Arab communities in Denmark, bolstered my local reporting experience and my knowledge about minority issues in Denmark, and spurred a passion for reporting on Arab society and minorities elsewhere.

This is a beat I have pursued in New York City where I interned at the weekly newspaper Queens Chronicle, covering the borough with articles for the newspaper and multimedia content for qchron.com.  I also covered Long Island as assistant production editor at the local start-up longislandreport.org where I learned how to build and run an online news site.

Finally, I am part of the Danish online start-up media Korrespondenterne.dk, promoting journalism about the world by journalists actually out there engaging with it.  And, I recently began working as a consultant for Norwegian People’s Aid in South Sudan conducting journalism and social media training - expanding my focus on opinionated music in the Arab World to East Africa.

La formation pionnière du hip-hop palestinien est DAM (Da Arabian MCs) (فرقة الراب العربي الفلسطينية - دام) (http://www.damrap.com/), un trio d'Israël originaire de Lod/Lydda, ville industrielle paupérisée située entre Tel-Aviv et Jérusalem. Constitué le 15 mai 1997 selon sa page officielle "DAM Palestinian HipHop Crew" (http://www.facebook.com/DAMRAP) devenue https://www.facebook.com/pg/dampalestine/ laquelle parle dorénavant d'octobre 1998), DAM regroupe les deux frères Tâmir (تامر النفار) (né vers 1999) et Suhayl Al-Naffâr (سهيل النفار) (né le 8 novembre 1983), accompagnés de leur beau-frère Mahmûd Jrayrî (محمود جريري) (né vers 1982). En 2004, le groupe est rejoint par 'Abîr Al-Zînâtî (عبير الزيناتي), connue comme Sabreena Da Witch (http://www.sabreenanow.com/ et http://www.myspace.com/sdawitch), qui émigrera ensuite aux États-Unis. En 2015, une autre femme rejoint le groupe, Maysa Daw (ميساء ضو).

Le premier album de DAM, Stop Selling Drugs, est sorti localement en 1998, suivi d’un deuxième album, Min Irhabi ("Qui sont les terroristes?"), en 2001 qui a connu un très large succès sur internet et a été distribué gratuitement en France par le magazine Rolling Stone. Devant les difficultés à trouver un producteur en Israël, le groupe s'est tourné vers le label britannique indépendant Red Circle qui distribue en 2006 leur premier album international, Ihda. Cette popularité a conduit le groupe à participer à divers projets tels que des bandes originales de films et des documentaires (comme en 2002 "Local Angel" d'Udi Aloni, un activiste israélien, en 2003 "Channels of Rage"d'Anat Halahmi, en 2004 "les enfants d'Arna" de Juliano Mer Khamis, en 2008 "Slingshot Hip Hop"de Jackie Salloum ou encore en 2010 "Targeted Citizen"de Rachel Leah Jones) ou des expositions photos (David Alan Harvey de Magnum et National Geographic), mais aussi plus naturellement à de nombreux concerts en Europe (France, Angleterre, Allemagne, Belgique, Suisse…) et aux États-Unis. DAM ne s’est jamais produit dans la bande de Gaza et n’a pu jouer qu’illégalement en Cisjordanie. Mais la plupart des rappeurs palestiniens reconnaissent que ses enregistrements et ses concerts représentent une source d’inspiration égale à celle de l'emblématique 2Pac. Pour la première fois, la possibilité pratiquer le rap en arabe dans une conjugaison fertile avec la tradition des ghettos noirs se montrait à eux avec éclat. Des réticences, pourtant, ont semble-t-il parfois affleuré chez les Gazaouis au nationalisme heurté par les contacts de DAM avec ses équivalents juifs.

Au printemps 2002, DAM a ouvert un "ArabRap Officiel Website" (http://www.arabrap.net/) qui se présente alors comme le "first Arabic rap website". Consacré à DAM lui-même, le site permet également le dépôt d'enregistrements et on y trouve des morceaux des groupes palestiniens d'Israël comme MWR, SAZ, Arapiat, Khalefa E., etc. Fin 2004 lui succède sous une nouvelle URL "ArapRap Official site" (http://www.dam3rap.com/) qui fonctionne jusqu'à août 2006 et se donne pour définition : "Welcome to ArabRap.net the Official Arabic Rap Website, here you can find Songs, lyrics, Pictures, and a lot more for the finest Arabic Rappers from Palestine and from all around the world". A partir de janvier 2007 "DAM" (http://www.dampalestine.com/) alimente un nouveau site propre, en ligne jusqu'en juillet 2010. Un nouveau "DAM Official website" (http://www.damrap.com/) fonctionne depuis l'été 2011, toujours actif en mai 2018.

Le groupe est également présent sur MySpace depuis août 2005 avec un compte "DAM" (http://www.myspace.com/damrap). Sur Reverbnation il possède 2 pages, "DAM" (http://www.reverbnation.com/dampaletstine) et "DAM" (http://www.reverbnation.com/damrap). Sur Facebook, la page officielle "DAM Palestinian HipHop Crew" (http://www.facebook.com/DAMRAP) créée en mai 2011 n'existe plus en 2018 et le compte "DAM Official Group" (http://www.facebook.com/groups/damofficial/) n'est plus alimenté depuis 2012. ABOUT Da Arabian MC's  (Suhell Nafar, Tamer Nafar, Mahmoud Jreri)

DAM is the first and leading Palestinian Rap Group. It is composed of Tamer Nafar, 27, his younger brother Suhell, 23, and Mahmoud Jreri, 24. The group has been performing together since the late 90s. Tamer, who had been performing Rap since 1998 with his brother, was first contacted by Mahmoud Jreri. Mahmoud was writing his own lyrics so they quickly decided to join forces and the group was born in 1999. All three members of the group were born and grew up in the slums of Lod, a mixed town of Arabs and Jews, 20 km from Jerusalem.

DAM's music is a unique fusion of East and West, combining Arabic percussion rhythms, Middle Eastern melodies and urban Hip Hop.

The lyrics of DAM are influenced by the continuing Israeli - Palestinian conflict as well as by the Palestinian struggle for freedom and equality. DAM also draw their influence from such controversial issues as terrorism, drugs and women’s rights.

Musically they take their inspiration from both Hip Hop artists (Nas, 2Pac, Mos Def, IAM, NTM, Saian Supa Crew, MBS etc.) and Arabic music (Marcel Khalifa, Kazem Saher, George Wassouf, Majda al Romi etc.)

The songs, lyrics and music, are written and arranged by all members of the group and musically produced by them and other known producers.

DAM's debut album "Stop Selling Drugs" was released locally in 1998, followed by the second album called "Min Irhabi" (“who's the terrorist?”) which was released in 2001. The controversial title track of this album was released on the net and more than 1 million people downloaded it within one month from the website ArabRap.Net. The song was also distributed free with Rolling Stone magazine in France and became a "street" anthem. It was also featured in a compilation in France with Manu Chao, Zebda, Noir Desir and many other top artists.

Furthermore, the lyrics of the song were taught in some Universities around the world because of their deep meaning, and were also used in pro-Palestinian demonstrations around the world.


DAM is now gaining increased international popularity around the world through their unique message and ground-breaking live shows.

The growing international profile and interest in this unique band have led to participation in various films, events and collaborations including:

- "Local Angel", a 2002 documentary by Israeli director and political activist Udi Aloni.
- Appearance in “Forgiveness”, Udi Aloni’s latest film selected at the Berlin Festival 2006.
- Key appearance in the documentary “Slingshot Hip Hop” about today’s Palestinian rap scene, by US director Jackie Salloum.
- Key appearance in the documentary film "Channel of rage", by Anat Halahmi, that showed the Israeli-Palestine struggle from the Israeli and Palestinian Rappers’ point of view
- Appearance in the soundtrack of the film “Ford Transit” by Palestinian director Hany Abu Assad, who won a golden Globe for his film “Paradise now”.
- Participation in the photoshoot by Magnum/National Geographic photographer David Alan Harvey about rap artists around the world.
- Many live shows in Europe (France, England, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland etc.) and in the USA.

The band will perform at the important TRANSMUSICALES DE RENNES festival in France in December 2006.

“IHDA” (Dedication) is DAM’s long-awaited first international album which will be released autumn 2006.

بعد عشر سنوات من التجول بين منصات العالم، صار أعضاء فرقة دام اكثر إصرارا على العيش في في مدينتهم - اللد التي تبعد 15 دقيقه عن تل ابيب، وازداد عزمهم على تزويد شباب مدينتهم ومناطق اخرى ببرامج وفرص التي لا يتمتع بها الفلسطينيون في اسرائيل، بشكل عام. فقاموا بفعاليات تشجيعية وورشات عمل، خرجت من حدود مدينتهم ووصلت إلى مناطق الضفة الغربية والولايات المتحدة وكندا وأوروبا.

الموسيقى التي تنتجها "دام" هي مزيج مميز بين الشرق والغرب, حيث تجمع الإيقاع العربي والألحان الشرقية مع الـ"هيب هوب" الحديث. وقد تأثرت أعمالهم من عدة مبدعين مثل : غسان كنفاني, أحلام مستغانمي, محمود درويش, ناجي العلي, upac‪,‬ B‪.I.G, K’nan, MBS, Pharoahe Monch. ‬T

"إهداء" هو عنوان أول ألبوم عالمي لـ"دام"، والذي صدر بعام 2007، بعد طول انتظار من قبل الجمهور. وقد استخدمت بعض اغاني هذا الألبوم في عديد من الافلام مثل : فورد ترانزيت ( من اخراج هاني ابو اسعد) " اين اسامه بن لادن" (من اخراج مورجان سبورلوك) " ملح هذا البحر" (من اخراج أن ماري جسير), و "ملاك محلي" و "مسامحة" (من اخراج اودي الوني). عرض تاريخ "دام" وتأثيرها على ساحة الهيب هوب العربي في الفلم الوثائقي "سلينج شوت هيب هوب" (من اخراج جاكي ريم سالوم). كما وأن الفرقة تظهر في الإعلام العالمي في عديد من المقابلات والتقارير في الجزيره ووسائل الإعلام الأخرى، منها: ‪Vibe, National Geographic, Rolling Stone, Q, Basement, Reuters, and The New York Times, and has appeared on MTV, CNN, BBC للتواصل مع فرقة دام => جهاد 0522241663 Youtube:- https://www.youtube.com/user/dam1st Soundcloud :- https://soundcloud.com/damrap

About Sabreena Da Witch (Abeer)

Abeer Alzinaty is a hip-hop artist, Writer and storyteller. Some nights she functions as a growing diva and a learning witch. Born to a Palestinian family inside the Israeli borders Abeer learned to express herself through art. Performing R&B in Arabic and English since 2000, Abeer, has participated in various initiatives to support Palestinian children. With two other local Arab Guerilla ladies she founded a youth club;“Future Seekers, " in their hometown of Lyd to provide children with a place to play and grow. She has also worked in east Jerusalem in the Israeli women's Lobby, as a mentor to young women. The program focused on female leadership in societies, and women's role in the world's progress. Abeer immigrated in 2007 to the USA and is currently staying there. Touring at times with the award-winning documentaries she is featured in Slingshot hip-hop directed by Jackie Salloum and Maria's Grotto directed by Buthaina Khoury. The hip-hop artist, Sabreena Da Witch was given the title "First Lady of Palestinian R&B" by one of the first male listeners in Lydd, she travels the US carrying her voice as her talent. singing and speaking to many people in solidarity with humanity freedom and creativity. She creates all year long. Music and beyond. She follows many known voices who influenced many world-wide. Loving most Black and other forms of courageous honest chants. Today she writes and at times share. She has many stories to tell. She casts spells and enjoys reading deep texts, in any form, ganre, language and from any Place.
